Friday October 8th @ 6pm
Spring Equinox events have been celebrated all over the world to not only mark the astrological moment where the night and day are equivalent in time, but also to celebrate seasonal fertility rituals as the earth begins to bloom. In the Northern Hemisphere, it comes at the Christian Easter time, named after the pre-Christian goddess in England, Eostre, and is also connected to many global Spring rituals involving spirituality, eggs, bunnies, and goddesses.
To celebrate, Northey Street City Farm in association with Vulcana Women’s circus present this year’s Spring Equinox to celebrate women in the arts. Organic food will be provided on the night. Organic Farming is direct action and contributes greatly to the fertility of the earth and to the health of all it’s flora and fauna!
Please join us to celebrate a rebirth into practices that will contribute towards addressing climate change, organic farming, sustainable practices and a renewed reverence for women. All welcome!

This magical ensemble of singer/songwriters and musicians includes: Dawn (Aus/Can) on lyrics & keys; Kris Field on lyrics & accordion; Hughie Doherty on guitar, slide & ukulele; Daryl James (Wales, UK) on banjo, mandolin & guitar; and Sam Reynolds on bass.
