Groups Tours and Activities
Take a guided tour through the food gardens, fruit orchard, recycling systems and enterprises of NSCF. Learn about permaculture and sustainable living in the city and gather ideas for your own group.

Groups of up to 8 people can join our free public tour of the Farm on the first Tuesday of each month from 9:30am-10:30am. Please book your small group for the Tuesday Tour by emailing info@nscf.org.au.
For groups of more than 8 people, or on times other than Tuesday morning, please contact us to arrange a paid group tour.
Our basic tour (1.5hours) is suitable for groups of all ages, including gardening clubs, community, local government and business groups, university and college groups, international visitors, out of school hours care (OSHC) groups as well as birthday parties. There are also options to include a hands-on activity or focus area – see ‘Options and Pricing’ section below.
Tours and activities are hosted by our experienced Education Team members. We will tailor the tour to suit your interests.
Options, Pricing & Bookings
Prices are for weekdays only and are on a per person basis. Weekends may be arranged upon request and will have a higher cost.
Bookings are not paid until after each visit, so there is no financial commitment to make a tentative booking.
To ensure arrangements can be made, a minimum advance notice of three weeks is usually sufficient. We will contact you to confirm the details and booking.

Duration: 1.5hrs
Cost: $14 per person ($180 group minimum) GST inclusive
Take an interactive guided tour through the food gardens, fruit orchard, recycling systems and enterprises of Northey Street City Farm.
Then, undertake a hands-on activity from the list:
- – Composting
- – Earth Connection
- – Native Foods
- – Salad-making
Duration: 2hrs.
Cost: $18 per person ($250 minimum) GST inclusive
Take an interactive guided tour of the farm for 1.5 hours and spend 30mins experimenting with Ecoarts. Ecoarts is focused on learning how to be creative and express one’s innate artistic talents by using natural materials such as clay and natural pigments. This fun hands-on activity gives attendees the opportunity to make clay sculptures and create art with natural materials.
Duration: 2 hours
Cost: $20 per person ($280 minimum) GST inclusive
Take an interactive guided tour of the Farm, experiment with Ecoarts, and undertake an additional activity from the following (or suggest your own):
- – Composting
- – Earth Connection
- – Native Foods
- – Salad-making
Note: Ecoarts is focused on learning how to be creative and express one’s innate artistic talents by using natural materials such as clay and natural pigments. This fun hands-on activity gives attendees the opportunity to make clay sculptures and create art with natural materials.
Duration: 2.5 hours + a break
Cost: $24 per person ($340 minimum) GST inclusive
This is a great option for out-of-school-hours groups who want a longer visit.
School Holiday Packages
We also offer Holiday Packages which are suitable for young people over 5 years old.
Options include:
Experience the Farm in a fun and engaging way! Our Farm adventure experience may include activities like treasure hunt, bird watching, seasonal observations and tasting, tree climbing.
Then, play nature games together, guided by our Farm Educators to learn about nature while playing and having fun!
Ages: 5+
Cost: $20 p/participant ($280 group minimum) GST inclusive
Experience the Farm in a fun and engaging way! Our Farm adventure experience may include activities like treasure hunt, bird watching, seasonal observations and tasting, tree climbing.
Then, get your hands dirty in the soil while you plant and harvest from the gardens!
Ages: 5+
Cost: $22 p/participant ($310 group minimum) GST inclusive
Play nature games together, guided by our Farm Educators. You’ll learn about nature while playing and having fun!
Then, get creative by collecting natural found objects around the farm and using them to design amazing nature artworks!
Ages: 5+
Cost: $22 p/participant ($310 group minimum) GST inclusive

Then, flex those muscles and build some awesome kid-sized shelters in the woodlot using bamboo and wood grown at the Farm.
