Permaculture Education

Northey Street City Farm’s Education Program offers a wide range of opportunities for learning and participation.  As a working urban permaculture farm, with sustainable buildings and a commitment to community, we can demonstrate the practical application of permaculture ethics and principles. Plus, we can readily show organic food production techniques.

The Permaculture Education Program is centered around our flagship 84-hour Permaculture Design Course. We’ve been running this course for over 25 years and had over 800 graduates since 2007. We also offer a comprehensive Workshops and Short Courses program with permaculture and regenerative living at the heart of our teaching.

We also offer guided Group Tours of our demonstration site for community groups, gardening clubs, business and government groups and all other interested groups. Guided group tours take around an hour and a half and can be adapted to cater to your special interests. The tour is hosted by one of our experienced Education Team members.
