NSCF Community Composting Hub

Northey Street City Farm is one of many of Brisbane City Council’s compost hubs, where people in the community can bring their food waste if they aren’t able to compost at home. Our volunteers then process this waste into amazing compost that we sell in our City Farm Nursery.

Our compost hub is located on Edgar Street in Windsor, and anyone in the community is welcome to bring their scraps to the hub.

Bring Your Food Waste to Our Composting Hub

Participants should register with Brisbane City Council to join the program. Then you will be able to collect your free kitchen caddy and then drop off your food waste at our Compost hub on Edmund Street in Windsor. Click here to register.

Volunteering at Our Composting Hub

The NSCF compost crew work each Thursday morning and new volunteers are welcome.

To register or for more information on volunteering, please see our volunteering page

Volunteers are provided with morning tea and lunch.
