Farming

We demonstrate Permaculture and organic principles and practices on our 2.5-hectare inner-city farm. The site is used for food production as well as for education, through our workshops, courses, tours and City Farm Team Building Experiences Program.

NSCF’s farming activities include: a community compost hub; allotment gardens for hire; the production of honey and other produce from our gardens; care for our animals; propagation of native and non-native plants; and maintenance of our raised garden beds, forest gardens, and bush regeneration areas.
