Northey Street City Farm’s Monthly Friday Night Organic Market launches on the Summer Solstice, Friday December 20th at 6.30pm
Brisbane’s first Organic Street Food Market will be set in Brisbane’s City Farm. In a relaxed atmosphere among the gardens, bush tucker and fruit forests, you will be able to eat locally sourced organic food for a wholesome delicious dinner, in a family friendly environment. Plenty of vegan and gluten free options will be available, including some of the finest tasting desserts you can imagine. Fresh organic juices, smoothies, and refreshing drinks will be on offer.
You will be able to purchase fresh organic fruit and veg from local organic farmers, where your money goes directly to the farmer.
There will be loads of artists, healers and ethical makers to assist you in your health journey and commitment to a sustainable lifestyle.
Our community-based night market, will showcase local and international entertainers, inspiring films, and meaningful presentations on ethical choices and sustainable practice.
It will be an inclusive, kids friendly space, where everybody is valued and encouraged to live sustainably.
We will be launching the Free Monthly Organic Night Market at the Summer Solstice, for our 25th Birthday!
We are very excited to announce that the Vanua Fire will be performing. Vanua Fire is a fire dancing troupe hailing from Vanuatu, performing a spectacular show of fire twirling, fire breathing and acrobatics. With over 7 years of nightly performances and tours, Vanua Fire performs with specialised fire twirling equipment, to produce a high energy fire show for all ages. We are thrilled to be able to host them for a Brisbane show before they head off to Woodford Folk Festival.
It’s going to be a mid-summer night to remember.
There will be life drawing on offer and earth arts for the kids.
We also hope you can contribute to a working timeline on the night to share your memories and experiences at the Farm over the last 25 years.
