Post-Flood Markets & Clean-Up News

Are the markets on this week?
YES! The Organic Markets are on this Sunday from 6-10:30am. Don’t miss this chance to support your local organic growers, who won’t have any other opportunity to sell their produce this week.

Can I help with the clean-up effort?
Absolutely! We will hold working bees on the following days. All are welcome at any time from 8am.

  • Saturday 15th
  • Tuesday 18th
  • Wednesday 19th
  • Thursday 20th

Thanks for your continued words of support!

Hi Plan on coming in tomorrow what would you like me to bring to help

    Poppy

  • Monique says:

Was just wandering for the working bees what sort of work to expect and if you would like us to bring any equipment/tools.

    • Alastair says:

Poppy, Monique – sorry we didn’t catch your questions in time. (Busy days!) For the future reference of anyone else reading this and planning to attend later working bees, we would only suggest bringing gloves (if you have them) and anything else that might assist with personal health and safety.

  • Jo says:

Hi, would it be safe to bring children to a working bee?

    • Alastair says:

Hi Jo – while we’re placing the safety of our volunteers above all else, we would at least advise strong caution and very close supervision, as there are still some muddy mystery areas and inevitable unknown factors when it comes to the cleanup process. If you’re happy to work under these conditions, feel free to bring kids along. Sorry for the vague diplomatic response!
