Flood Closure
Posted by NSCF on 11 Jan, 2011.
With a Northey Street flood imminent, City Farm will be closed until at least next week, with all activities put on hold. We have done all we can to prepare and keep our property, people and animals safe. Stay tuned for further updates.
UPDATE: Pending access and personal safety, there may be an opportunity Wednesday morning to move stock upstairs and off-site. People with trucks, vans and utes who can SAFELY visit the farm to assist (or those with safe places to store it) are welcome Wednesday from 7:30am onwards. For more information, please call 04166 07639.

Good luck Northey St, I hope all your seed stocks are safe, and that there’s not too much damage to your crop and chooks!

Let me know how everything is going. I send all my love and postive energy out to you all and hope you can keep up your good work. I love all the northey street staff and my experience that I had there was the most amazing experience of my life. Thank you and love to you all Kristie
Kristie, thanks for the inspiring comments! I suspect it’s going to warm a lot of hearts. While there’s a lot of hard work ahead, I have no doubt your kind words (and the many others both here and on Facebook) will keep everybody motivated until the farm is back in shape.
Hey folks,
when you need volunteers to help with the clean up and setting up again please email me. The teenagers and I are most willing to lend a hand especially with the office or the chooks.
Hi Marina – thanks for the offer! We will be holding several dedicated clean-up days over the next week. (More info here.) All are welcome for any amount of time, and all assistance will be hugely appreciated!
