This Saturday: Volunteers’ and Members’ Annual Breakfast and AGM

Volunteers' Breakfast

This Saturday morning (November 14th) we gather at the farm to celebrate and honour the wonderful work of volunteers, staff and members over the past year. We start from 9am, with free pancakes, fruit salad, sausage sizzle, chai/coffee, etc. Families are welcome. No RSVP needed – just turn up!

This also gives us a chance to acknowledge the abundance that has come our way in 2009, with community, infrastructure and food.

This breakfast is followed by our Annual General Meeting (AGM) at 11am. All members are welcome.

Vale Jim Nielsen

Jim Nielsen, son of Richard and Barbara, died recently in a bus crash in Peru. He is deeply missed, and our love and sympathy go out to the Nielsen family, Emma and other friends.

His funeral service, A Celebration of Jim’s Life, will be held at Northey Street City Farm this Monday 7th September.

The service will begin at 1:30pm, though people can gather from 12:30 with Jim’s coffin there for people to decorate. Refreshments will be available afterwards.

Everyone is welcome.

Please be aware that parking will be difficult, and people are asked to walk, ride, bus or carpool where possible. You might also like to bring a blanket to sit on.
