Organic Markets – Running Saturday December 31st

Continuing our proud tradition of not missing a single market weekend, we will be holding our Organic Markets on New Year’s Eve – that’s Saturday December 31, 2011 – rather than the usual Sunday.

We will return to Sunday the following week, on January 8th.  The farm will then reopen for all its usual activities starting Tuesday 10th January, 2012.

Organic Market – Running Saturdays over the Holiday Break

For the next two weeks, to make your weekly organic produce shopping more convenient around the Christmas break, our Sunday Organic Markets will be moved to Saturday.

  • Saturday 24 December (Christmas Eve)
  • Saturday 31 December (New Year’s Eve)

We will return to our normally scheduled Sunday markets the following week, on the 8th of January.

THIS SATURDAY – Summer Solstice Celebrations

Annual Farm Harvest – Learn Hands-On Skills & Knowledge
Earth Art Activities – Music Jamming – Dusk Fire Ceremony

Join us this Saturday the 17th of December for our annual harvesting of the farm’s fruits, vegetables and edible plants.  Don’t miss this rewarding and social opportunity to pick up hands-on experience and knowledge on local produce.

All welcome, all day.
Come and go at any time from 8am-8pm.

The event runs all day.  Please gather with us from 8am to harvest, prepare and cook a feast from the ‘fruits’ of our communal work and the year’s abundance.

Bring gardening gloves, hat, water bottle and containers to share potential leftovers. Share hands on skills and knowledge around regional fruits, veggies, edible weeds, wild foods, herbs and bush tucker.

This is a family-friendly occasion with earth art activities, music jamming, ritual and a small fire at dusk.  All donations are appreciated, and will go towards stocking the farm kitchen.  Please feel free to bring any surplus food.

2012 Sustainable Living Workshops – Round One

For next year’s first block of Saturday workshops, we have decided to offer smorgasboard of delicious potential offerings.  When the minimum number of people have registered their interest, the workshop will go ahead.
