Winter Solstice Festival 2011 – Celebrate the Longest Night of the Year

Saturday 25 June 2011, 4:00 pm to 10.30 pm

Featuring musical entertainment from over 12 bands on 2 stages, plus:

  • Roving performers, circus acts and exciting fire twirling
  • Fabulous food (on sale from 4pm) and refreshing drinks @ the Chai Cafe
  • Children’s activities and workshops (4-7pm) ending in a special bonfire for families in the early evening
  • Traditional bonfire and ceremony to complete the celebrations
  • A family-friendly vibe in a unique community event
  • Free Entry – though we will be seeking donations to support us in supporting you!

THIS FRIDAY: Shakespeare at City Farm!

The Queesnland Shakespeare Ensemble are holding an event at City Farm this Friday 13th May from 7:30pm.

Come along and support our Chai Cafe, which will be open from 6:30pm until late for drinks and snacks. There will also be a bonfire and music afterwards on the stage.

This is a ticketed event, as part of the Theatre Anywhere Festival, with their productions of the Half-hour Hamlet and Express Macbeth.

Bookings can be made from the Shakespeare Shorts website . Bookings can be made there for $19 ($13 concessoin).

This helps with organisation, but you can turn up and get your tickets on the night.
