Position: Permaculture Trainer (6 month contract)
Hours: 15 hours per week, part time – including a formal training day notionally on Wednesdays, with other hours on Tuesdays, Thursdays or Fridays, by negotiation.
Commencement: Tuesday 22nd March 2011, for 26 weeks

Hours: 5 hrs per week, part time for 32 weeks. The project operates Tuesday – Friday, and flexibility will be needed, by negotiation.

Position: Green Army Program Supervisor
Hours: 22.5 hours per week, part time. This involves 3 days per week, generally on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, but may involve some Wednesdays by negotiation.
Commencement: Tuesday 22 March 2011, for 26 weeks
An awesome afternoon and evening of live music, food and fun for all ages! Northey Street City Farm will come to life with all of the culture and character that makes our local community so special. All proceeds from ticket sales to be divided between two very worthy causes: Student Care Welfare Qld Inc (supporting disadvantaged Queensland youth in crisis) and the rehabilitation of injured wildlife in Brisbane. Proceeds from catering go back into Northey Street City Farm.
This is more than just a fundraiser. There will be market stalls, great food with organic and vegetarian options and the kind of atmosphere that can only exist in a place like Northey Street.
There will also be a spectacular fire show and the chance to win some great prizes donated by some very generous sponsors.

This exciting program gives you knowledge and skills for designing productive gardens and properties, growing your own food, applying appropriate technologies, using resources wisely, designing animal and plant systems to minimise your workload, rebuilding community values, and generally reducing your impact on our precious environment.
The Permaculture Design Course gives a good overview of permaculture principles and practice, with an emphasis on design. At Northey Street, we include significant hands-on practical experience as well.
